Styled for Readability – Art Insight

Exploring the journey from raw expression to awareness.

I’ve been thinking a lot and working out ideas for new blogs in this section, and it’s bringing up some personal growth.

I see this website as more than a standard layout. To me, it is a canvas — a wall under a train bridge where I can put forth my ideas and my art.

As I start to piece together ideas and subjects for this space, I’m beginning to understand the importance of self-detachment from artworks on varying levels, especially in writing — the tone can be confronting.

Reviewing these latest drafts has shown me that much of my writing was very self-reflective — often just my own opinions, which I now realise I needed to let go of. Seeing them as a viewer, I can understand how they aren’t always approachable.

These realisations have been a blessing, helping me release the over-invested opinions I once used as defences to protect myself. Now, seeing these trains of thought on a screen and knowing they’re going out for the world to see feels like it’s been for the best.

I considered deleting some of these early works because they are raw expressions. But I’ve realised they are important to keep — like a ship’s log, charting a journey into uncharted waters, facing both calm and savage seas.

It wasn’t the work that needed changing — it was my awareness.
