7 billion worlds-- Polyphonic Chronicles #2
anBlah blah blabity blah words fly, emotions flail, spirits dip, but still life goes on.
1: what is it, why is it, how is it?
2: well, I guess it is what it is because it is
1: well, that’s a fair answer, but why is it so hard for humans to evolve? Is it the western loss of traditions into manhood and the like? But growing up these days, no one really tells you how it is to grow up.
2: well, that’s a lot of spaghetti all tangled up, what are you even trying to get at?
1: well, I guess it’s from experience, with no real role model in my life.
2: and where do you std in all this?
1: still learning, but have made interesting progress. Revaluations have been made. Personality is finally shifting, which I think might be the hardest part, but nonetheless it’s moving forward and forever will.
2: why do you say it’s the hardest part, shifting personalities?
1: because you have to die, to move forward you need to let go of the traits that have held you in place for so long, possibly magnified if mental health has not been the best.
2: that’s a little dramatic
1: well, not really. I guess some people find change easy, some don’t and never change, and that’s fine. But when you want to grow, want to change, sometimes it can be a little daunting.
2: how so?
1: do we have to go down this path?
2: yes, I’m curious
1: curious of what, why change can be hard?
2: yes
1: well. Say you have had deep depression for a very long time, but then you get better to a point where you can see what you need to let go.
…For some, it’s a complete identity shift, and you can be left confused on who you are, then because you have an identity crisis and find comfort back in your depressive ways or the like.
…And then there is also the external pressures of people knowing who you were but not seeing who you are. And now you have to try and convince them, yes, I have changed.
2: well, that all sounds like a handful
1: it can be
2: so when you’re doing all this, you got to be careful of who you have around you?
1: it does. Sometimes you just got to let people go out of your life, either because they accentuate the old or they just don’t or can’t want to see the new you.
2: being a human sounds complicated
1: you have no idea. Not only do we have to navigate this planet with over 7 billion worlds in it, but we also have to navigate and learn how to work these bodies, especially the mind and emotion.
2: yea, sounds a lot, but surely the you things like body and mind are easier?
1: not necessarily. It depends on your environments throughout your life, in both mind and body—from what you’re born with, to what accumulates over time, like neurological traits, trauma, or physical strain. If your growing environment, especially in the infant to adolescent years, is not the greatest, it all causes problems at the moment and sets problems up further down the track.
2: Well. Huh.
So everything creates the things that make you, and you have to work harder to fix or live with?
1: for sure…
